Bio

Brad Sullivan was named head coach of the CSM baseball program after the spring 2023 season. Sullivan began his coaching career at CSM prior to the 2017 season as a volunteer assistant coach, then became a paid assistant coach in 2018. He was the third base coach and pitching coach from 2018 to 2022. 

Due to his family history, Sullivan was born with a ball and a glove in his hand. His grandfather was a head coach at DeMatha High School, and his father coached him every step of the way in little league. He played travel baseball for the Hughesville Orioles from the time he was ten years old until he enrolled at Bishop McNamara High School.  

At McNamara, he played shortstop on the varsity team all four years, leading them to a second place finish in the WCAC his senior year. He would earn a scholarship to play at Concord University (West Virginia). He played shortstop his first two years until he had a knee injury that forced him to play designated hitter his junior and senior seasons. In his four years at Concord, Sullivan earned First Team All-Mountain East Confrence (MEC) his senior year, was a two time All-MEC Honorable Mention, and had a career batting average of .359 with 175 hits, 105 runs, and 86 RBIs.

With his experience playing the most important position in baseball, Sullivan specializes in teaching the players in the infield as well as how to approach the mental aspect of the game. He hopes his skill set and experience can develop a winning culture for the Hawks baseball program.
